The Joining Award goes at the center of a new flower on the left (or on the left shoulder, if the girl has earned her Level Award to start a new flower), and subsequent achievement badges are placed as the petals around the flower (one from each frontier). Additional achievement badges are affixed in a honeycomb pattern on the lower right.  For those looking for an alternative to sewing them on, you can order sheets of Badge Magic adhesive, which is washable and permanent. Simply apply, peel and press!
